Why I Am No Longer a Certified Forensic Locksmith

A member from 1999-2006 I was always butting heads with what I call "the good ole' boy club) known as the International Association of Investigative Locksmiths also know as IAIL.

I do not recognize this as a valid organization.

Member lists are confidential and not attainable by fellow members.

If the board members do not personally like you or what you do, they will put up phony grievances.

They do not adhere to their published ethics.

Cases in point are Rob Painter can't do this or that, but other board members can do what they like.

One rule they tried to impose was a member could not oppose another member. In other words, their experts are only allowed to work with law enforcement and insurance companies.

They did not appreciate me because I commonly oppose these members because there is no way they could support their opinions or conclusions in a scientific manner. It was that way because I said so by the IAIL expert.

Currently, I am aware of complaints against these members for violating the current IAIL ethics code.

Tom Seroogy--Board member that is doing "Mail Order Forensics" without ever examining the vehicle.

Stanley F. Pulaski-a regular member who should not be a member at all because of his felony conviction for cocaine distribution.

Robert Mangine, a member who has published forensic lock processes in direct contradiction to what IAIL teaches.

Under normal circumstances if a complaint is filed against a member, he is made aware of those grievances so that he has time to address them in front of the board.

Here is what the IAIL did to me in a consorted conspiracy along with Santa Clara County, CA District Attorney Voyles in which I represented the defense in the case "State of California vs. Diaz."

Without any warning I received an email from Jim Bickers and Tom Seroogy on Saturday afternoon at 2:38pm August 26, 2006 informing I was kicked out of the IAIL for alleged ethics violations.

Conveniently sent before I was to testify Monday morning August 28th 2006. DA Voyles in his cross jumped on this and wanted to know why I was lying to the jury that Monday morning with me claiming I was a Certified Forensic Locksmith. Hmmm.....Doesn't the timing for all this seem a little strange?

The IAIL never meant much to me because the board members were always complaining that I opposed them in court. Could that mean they could not prove their conclusions in their reports?

Remember--I do keep a score card and over 60 cases my side has prevailed over it's members!

I would not recommend this organization to anyone because in my opinion it is fraudulent!
